10 Outfit Ideas to Try in November, Including Quite a Few Not-to-Be-Missed Sweaters
’Tis the season for chunky sweaters, blanket scarves, booties and all things cozy. And while we’ve definitely fallen into the habit of wearing leggings and sweaters every day in years past, that no longer feels quite so novel after sporting nothing but sweatsuits and sweatshorts the past few months. So, we rounded up 30 autumnal outfits ideas for November (with the help of some Coterie members) that will spice up your look better than a pumpkin latte.
1. BRING ON THE LAYERS
If you’re still in seasonal denial, try layering a cozy turtleneck under your favorite overalls to stay nice and warm, just like Coterie member Ijeoma Kola.
2. TRY SOME NEW NEUTRAL HUES
Update your selection of neutrals from black, white and gray to include shades of pale pink and light brown, à la Jessie Loeffler Randall. These colorful shades also pair well with animal prints—including leopard spots—they just offer a softer feel that we can’t get enough of.
3. WEAR YOUR HEART ON YOUR SLEEVE
Whether you decide to vote early, vote via mail or vote on election election day, the important thing is that you vote by or on November 3. And sporting some voter merch (especially pieces that give back) isn’t such a bad plan either—although be sure to double check the electioneering laws in your state. In many places sporting something as simple as a button with your preferred candidate’s name on it to a polling place is illegal.
4. BRIGHTEN YOUR DAY WITH A POP OF YELLOW
Take a cue from the changing leaves and add a flash of marigold yellow with a sweater, jacket or handbag.
5. OR TRY SHADES OF CALMING BLUE
If you’re more in need of a chill meditation sesh than a bright pop of cheer, try mixing and matching shades of cornflower, robin’s egg and sky blue.
