Dallas Black Dance Academy Celebrates the Holiday with First Annual Espresso Nutcracker

Dallas, Texas – Dallas Black Dance Academy (DBDA) celebrates the holiday season with its first annual Espresso Nutcracker. The performance will be held at the Latino Cultural Center, 2600 Live Oak Street, Dallas, TX at 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2018.

The performance will feature all Pre Pro I – Pre Pro IV students in Pre Pro Pointe classes. 80 ballet students will also be taking part in the performance. The Nutcracker has become a beloved tradition for many dance companies around the world. Dallas Black Dance Academy is joining in the tradition of dancing the Christmas Eve storyline as it celebrates its 45th anniversary. “This is a perfect year for Dallas Black Dance Academy to join the Nutcracker tradition and continue its legacy of excellence in dance instruction," said Dallas Black Dance Academy Director Katricia Eaglin.

Other academy students will perform that morning at 9 a.m. in the Winter Showcase at the Dallas Black Dance Theatre studios, 2700 Ann Williams Way, Dallas, TX. The students will showcase what they have learned in their fall classes. The young dancers have been studying modern, ballet, tap, African, jazz, and Hip Hop. Seating is limited.
